Little Dish Pots & Pies Review

Meal times can be a challenge at times, we of course want to make sure that the kids are getting a balanced diet and everything they need from there meals. However with running a house, taking trips to and from the nursery and school and just general day to day life, some times its nice just to have something that you can just pop in the oven or microwave. That’s why we were so happy when Little Dish asked if we’d like to try their new range of Pots & Pies.

Little Dishes Pots & Pies are quick and easy meals that are made from 100% natural ingredients, leaving you safe in the knowledge your kids are getting a well balanced diet. There’s 11 different meals to choose from Fish Pie, Shepherds Pie, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Pasta Bolognase, Veg Ravioli, Mild Chicken Curry, Beef Lasagna, Chicken & Veg Risotto, Chicken Pie, Mild Beef Curry and Cottage Pie. We picked a few of the ones we liked the sound of to try out.
The first Little Dish Meal we tried was the Veg Ravioli. The meal was really easy to cook as were all the Pots and Pies Meals. Each meal came in a cute little pot with a cardboard sleeve with easy to follow instructions on how to cook it via microwave or oven and a cute little picture for the little ones to colour in.

I was a bit apprehensive about giving my little one this dish, as it was something he hadn’t tried before. Thankfully though he loved it. The potions were a decent amount and rather filling for a toddler so he didn’t manage to finish it all, but mummy had the little that was left and I have to admit even I enjoyed it.

For the next meal, I thought it might be nice to let little man choose which one he wanted out of the options we had. Much to my surprise he chose the Pasta bolognese. It was a big deal for us as little man doesn’t really like any meat, I wouldn’t say hes a vegetarian as such I think its just to do with the taste and the texture.

Little man was more than happy with his choice of meal choice. Mummy and Daddy were also happy because the meal was such a clever way getting him to eat some without him knowing they were there.
One of my favourite things about the Little Dish Pots & Pie meals is that there freezable. We decided to freeze some of the other meals to use at a later date for little man.
Overall we were really impressed with Little Dish Pots & Pies. Admittably I dont think we’d use them as a everyday thing as there’s a few things that they didn’t offer that I like to feed little man. However as a quick and well balanced meal, it would definitely come in handy to have a few in, especially now I know little man likes them.
Little Dishes Pots & Pies are priced at £2.30 per meal, and are available to buy from all major supermarkets.

These look really good and it is so reassuring when you know they are natural ingredients. Once Josh is a bit older I'll be treating him to these when we're out and about xx #dreamteam

I recently read about these and I'm so glad that I can read even more from someone who has tried them! I'm always looking for something new for my son to eat since he is a fussy eater and these look perfect! I really like anything for him that's natural ingredients or organic so I like the sound of these for sure!Sometimes I find with these sort of dinners/meals is the portion sizes are quite small but reading your post I can see that's not the case.

I used to give Archie Little Dish a couple of years ago, he used to love them, especially one of the risotto ones

These sound like a heavens send to have a stash to call on for those days when you just didn't get round to making dinner…and then not feel guilt about it!

These type of things must be so good when you're in a bit of a rush but don't want to give your kids anything too unhealthy. x
