As I mentioned in my previous post I’m An Offical Camp Bestival 2016 Blogger, I am very lucky to have been selected as a Official Camp Bestival Blogger for 2016. In the the run up to the festival as well as after, you can expect to see a series of different posts on my blog about it.
This year is our very first year attending Camp Bestival, and we can not wait. I think me and my partner are almost as excited if not more than the kids. Camp Bestival has so much to offer for both kids and adults and I therefore thought it would be a good idea to create a list of the things we’re most looking forward at Camp Bestival 2016.
1. Fancy Dress
Each year Camp Bestival sets a theme, which gives both adults and kids the chance to dress up as well a take part in ton of activities based around the theme. The theme this year is – Outer Space, which is fantastic!! My little boy is especially excited for this years theme as he loves all things Space related. I’ve already been exploring the wonderful worldwide web in hope of finding ideas for us all.
2. The Feast Food Collective
I was so happy when I heard that the Feast Food collective had been announced for Camp Bestival 2016. I’ve only ever heard positive things about the Food on offer at the festival and we cant wait to try it for ourselves. My partner is especially excited to see the food DJBBQ has to offer, whilst im particularly looking forward to a trip to the Chocolate Bear kitchen, to try some of there infamous Pancakes. Also hoping that the kids get a chance to try the 100% natural ice lollies (handmade in the UK from real Fruit and Vegetables) from Polar Pops.
3. The Line Up
One of the things Camp Bestival is most famous for is being Family Friendly. Therefore there is a good mixture of music and shows to suit everyone. My personal favourites/must sees in the music line up this year have to be Jess Glynne, Tears For Fears and as much as I hate to admit if Reggie and Bollie. My eldest daughter is really looking forward to seeing Reggie and Bollie, she loved them when they were on the Xfactor. All of us are also looking forward to seeing of shows they have to offer such as, Alien Loves Underpants, Dick and Dom and Lazytown Live, my youngest boy was especially made up when I told him that Mr Tumble was gonna be there.
4. The Attractions and Activities
Camp Bestival has so many activities and attractions to offer, there really is something to suit everyone. There are far to many to list them all, so I thought it would be easier if i just listed a few of our faves this year. I obviously couldn’t write a post like this without mentioning the Worlds Biggest Bouncy Castle, we cant wait to have some fun jumping around. We also are really interested in watch the World Record Breaking Bubble Show, our kids love bubbles.. well i mean who doesn’t. There’s also tons of activities and attractions based around this years theme Outer Space such as Brickies Lego Space Academy, Pop Up Planetariums and Gobbledegook Presents Cosmic Cocktails.
Every year Camp Bestival finishes with a huge Fireworks Finale show. This year the epic fireworks extravaganza will be on Sunday Night and put together by the fantastic Son Et Lumiere. This will be the first firework display my little ones have seen up close and if previous years are anything to go by this isn’t one to be missed. The Camp Bestival 2014 Finale ‘ Bhoemian Bestival’ was amazing and one that had the crowd singing and dancing along.
Disclosure: Although I am an Offical Blogger for Camp Bestival 2016. I was not asked to write this post. All opinions and views expressed are honest and that of my own.
