I have always suffered with allergies from a young age and thanks to the wonderful thing that is genetics both the kids seem to suffer rather badly too. One thing that seems to really effect them is dust, when we first moved into our house it was a new build with concrete flooring everywhere the amount of dust build up seemed to really effect their chests, my eldest ended up having a severe reaction that resulted in a hospital visit.
We’ve invested in a decent Vacuum in hope of tackling our dust problems, however our vacuum isn’t too good when it comes to those hard to reach places and just doesn’t seem to be coping well with general household dust at all so we have since thrown this out. We needed to look into getting something a bit more modern and sufficient. After many many nights of looking on the web for different Vacuums and reviews on Vacuums we finally came across the Vax Cordless 32v Vacuum . The reviews looked really good and the fact it could reach places our current Vacuum couldn’t it looked ideal. Vax got in touch and offered to send us one to try which i was thrilled about and hopeful it would make a difference with our allergies.
The Vax Blade 32V is a cordless, lightweight and powerful Vacuum, allowing you to clean your home at ease. It comes with a variety of different attachments, tools and brushes to enable you to clean anything from your carpet, wooden floor, your car and even kitchen table. There’s also a really useful user guide provided to help explain how to attach and use each one.
One of the stand out things for me about this wonderful little device is the fact its cordless, meaning it was a lot easier to reach places without worrying about a lead getting in the way. The Vacuum comes with a charger which is simple to use and this charges it fully in 4 hours. Once fully charged it has a run time of up to 45 mins depending on which setting you use, using boost mode does give the suction that little bit more however it can take its toll on the battery life. You can monitor your battery using the clever dial below. the white bits above the percentage numbers will be green to indicate how much battery is left.
The Vax Blade Cordless Stick Vacuum being cordless means that I was able to reach dust in places that I couldn’t reach before, also the various accessories helped me get to even the most difficult spots. Being able to Vacuum under the kids beds was a huge deal for us, as there seems to be a fair amount of allergens that gather under there. I find during the night is when my children seem to cough and wheeze the most so being able to finally get to all this dust was fabulous.
As well as being great for getting under furniture to clean, it also was fantastic for reaching places that were high up too. Even though we live in a new build house, there seems to been a surprising number of cobwebs appearing on regular occasions and due to my height most the time I’ve been able to reach them to clean. But thanks to the Duster tool on the Vax, the long attachment and the fact its cordless I’ve now been able to reach them especially some of the ones that have appeared in the kids room, which haven’t been able to do before with other Vacuums in the past.
Now that I’ve had the opportunity to use this little gem I don’t know where we’d be with without it. I originally had concerns that a cordless might not be as good as on a typical vacuum when it came to suction, however I’m happy to say that is not the case. The suction was really good compared to our previous standard upright, especially when you turn brush mode on Vax as it brushes the floor whilst picking up dust and dirt which you could massively see the difference.
Now we have been able to finally clean up dust in places we couldn’t, I have already noticed a difference with the kids allergies and breathing at night.
