With Christmas, I know i said it the dreaded c word . Christmas is only a few months away now scary as it is, which means my little girl has been paying lots more attention to adverts on the TV and watching toy videos on kids youtube. Through out the day I often here ‘Mummy, can you get me one of them for christmas?’ and ‘ooo Mummy, this would be good for christmas wouldn’t it. One of the toys she most recently has pointed out on more than one occassion to us is the New Barbie DreamHorse, so when we were given the opportunity to be sent one to review I jumped at the chance.
The Barbie DreamHorse is Barbies most interactive horse yet. The Barbie DreamHorse reacts to both touch and sounds, and features more than 30 realistic reactions. Barbies DreamHorse can also walk forward, turn 360 degrees and neigh. She can also respond when asked a question by nodding yes or no. To attach Barbie attach barbie to her saddle you can clip her in to the waist clip, her feet in the stirrups and her hands in the reins … all of which keep her secured safely.
Barbie DreamHorse comes with 3 accessorises. A pink helmet for Barbie, a small hair brush and a bunch of carrots. The bunch of carrots are for the horse to eat. My little girl loved feeding the horse her carrots. As you feed Barbies DreamHorse you can her hear crunching away of that carrots, which is a lovely effect and made my little girl enjoy it more.
One of the other accessories I mentioned was a very cute and small crush for Barbies Horses hair. The brush can be used to groom the Horses curly mane and tail. The horses hair on its mane and tail is really a lovely colour, really soft and beautifully long, my little girl is already talking about plaiting it.
Whats great about Barbie DreamHorse is that there so many different things she can do, my little girl had lots of fun trying out different buttons on her. If you press the button on the saddle you can enter something called ‘fun mode’. During Fun mode DreamHorse will dance to three different songs. Simply stroke the DreamHorses tail for the first song song then you can guide through the different songs by stroking her just above the back of her right or left leg.
Overall I’d definitely say that the Barbie Dream Horse is a high contender for the top Christmas toy spot this year. We had lots of fun playing with her and trying out all the different interactive things she could do. It really is a fantastic toy.
Barbie DreamHorse is aimed at ages 3 and up.
