Glimmies…Fairies That Glow – Our Review

A few months ago, my little girl started being afraid of sleeping in her room at night. She was waking up telling us she was scared of the shadows. She’s always loved fairies and so we found a few little ones we had lying around from one of her toys, we went into her room put them next to her bed and told her that each night they would sit there and watch over her, whilst she slept.

At the time that seemed to have fixed the issue and each night before bed, she’d place the fairies next to her bed and went to sleep happily knowing they were there. However recently the dark has now become a new issue at night, so we were so grateful when we were introduced to the wonderful new thing made by Flair called ‘Glimmies’.

Glimmies are little fairies…that were sent by the moon, to take care of ‘Glimmieswood’ forest and its animals, which is why you might notice that Glimmies resemble a likeliness to them. Glimmies are aimed at children age 3 – 6yrs and there 23 Glimmies to collect in total. Each Glimmie has its own unique look, comes with their own cute name and bio.

We were sent Foxanne and Hazelyn, however there are lots of other Glimmies too choose from, we can’t wait to start collecting them all.

One of the things that really stood out for us, is that they glow in the dark. How do they glow in the dark I hear you ask? Well, each small fairy features a tiny sensor on the top of its head that reacts to light or lack off light. When the sensor is covered or senses that its dark then the fairies begin to glow.

This has made them the perfect thing for my little girl to take to bed with her each night, as not only does she feel like the fairies are watching over her still whilst she sleeps but also that they shine bright in the dark.

I reckon Glimmies are going to be a huge hit with the little ones, if my little girls reaction to them is anything to go by. They will be available to buy from most toy shops from February 2017. Single packs are available to buy from £3.99 and you also have the option of buying triple packs and play sets.

Disclosure: We were kindly sent 2 Glimmies, for the purpose of this review. However as always all opinions are honest and that of my own.

I love this idea!! Anything that helps prevent them being scared in the night is great but combining them with the fairies is really cute! Bet she thinks they’re magical!

Aww these look so cute! And they glow so well! I’m always worried I might have a “fear of the dark” situation with Bear so he has 3 different star projector things in his room, ones a monster, ones a slumber buddy and the other is just a projector from b&m haha! Tho I don’t think he’s bothered at his age haha! Xx
