Our #OreoCookieQuest Snow Day

I have to admit I was surprised today when I woke up to find we had snow again, I thought after the snow we had a week or so ago that we’d seen the last of it for a while, I mean it is the 18th March and technically Spring now where’s the sun?  However despite any of  any negative feelings I might of had about it, Little S was really excited to see snow again and couldn’t wait to get out in it. It also gave us the perfect opportunity to take part in the Oreo Cookie Quest.

The Oreo Cookie Quest is  promotion currently being run by Oreo with their packs of biscuits. Pick up a promotional pack and you could have the chance from fantastic prizes such as an amazing once in a life time trip to California and the Google Plex.

Oreo Cookie Quest For our Oreo Cookie Quest we didn’t have to go too far, as were lucky enough to have a huge field not too far from us that was covered in snow. The kids really want us to build a snowman together, which was lovely and gave us the perfect way to spend time together doing something fun as a family.

We know from last time that Little S couldn’t handle being in the Snow for too long, so decided to give them buckets to help them gather the snow up a bit quicker for our snowman. The little S had loads of fun running around gathering up the snow her bucket and then bringing it back to us to start making the snowman. She left loads loads of foot prints along her trail and it became a new thing for her to find bits of untouched snow to trail thru with her feet. It was lovely to see how much joy it all gave her whilst getting our snowman ready.

After some effort from all the family our snowman was finally ready to be decorated, which mean’t using the carrot we’d brought along for his nose and Little S finding sticks for his smiley mouth and arms. However we were struggling on what to use for its eyes, due to being in a field there wasn’t many stones around so that was out of the question. Can you guess what we used in the end ?

That’s right Oreo’s!!! They made the perfect eyes for our finished snowman. In fact we even had a few local neighbours post on facebook about how they’d seen our snowman when out walking their dogs etc and were impressed with the Oreo’s for eyes.

Where will your Oreo Cookie Quest take you and your family ?

I’m afraid sadly not… apparently a dog came along and saw the carrot hanging out the snowman’s nose and went to try and get it taking out our Oreo snowman in the process. Sad times.
