Wordsearch Junior Review & Giveaway

Little miss has not long started in year 1 at school, its been a bit of a change from being in reception. Reception was mostly about playing with the tiny bit of learning added in, whereas year 1 is a lot more learning. There’s homework, there’s reading and there’s even spellings so shes having to try to broaden her vocabulary a lot more. So when we were asked if we would like to review Word search Junior, I instantly thought it would be a great way to help with this.
Wordsearch Junior is aimed at children age 4 and up, which makes it the perfect game for those just starting school. The Game consists of 4 sets of different coloured counters, the Playing Board, double sided wordsearch inserts and a easy to follow instructions manual.  The aim of the game is simple, find your word and then cover it with your coloured counters. Once you’ve placed your counters on your word it then moves over to the next person to find a word and place their coloured counters on it. The winner is the person who has the most coloured counters by the end of the game.

Wordsearch Junior Back to talking about how to play the wordsearch inserts come in three different levels based on skill. The easiest one being just pictures, so you have will have to find the correct combination on the board. Cat, Cat, Dog for example. The mid level is pictures and words, so you would have a picture of a Rose followed by the word Rose The hardest level, is just the words. We found the mid level the best one that worked for us, as it gave little miss a chance to work on her sounding out word skills with the help of the picture if she got stuck.

Wordsearch JuniorWordsearch JuniorWe had so much fun playing this game and I love that its educational too. We haven’t had chance to try all the levels yet as little miss isn’t ready for the hardest one just yet, but its mean that it will give us so to work towards in the future.

Wordsearch Junior has a rrp of £22.99.
